Naloxone for First Responders program
Pennsylvania’s Naloxone for First Responders program distributes free naloxone to first responder groups through 48 regional locations. An online form to request naloxone is also available for organizations serving high-risk, high-need populations.

Pennsylvanians can take a free online training and enroll to have Narcan nasal spray or intramuscular naloxone mailed to them at no cost. Enrollment is confidential and packaging is discreet. No insurance necessary.
Locate Single County Authorities (SCAs)
Local treatment programs are administered through county drug and alcohol offices called Single County Authorities. These programs can help with treatment funding, assessing the need for treatment or other services, and making referrals to match treatment and/or service needs.
Naloxone FAQs
Naloxone is a medication that can reverse an overdose caused by an opioid drug (i.e., prescription pain medication or heroin). When administered during an overdose, naloxone blocks the effects of opioids on the brain and restores breathing within two to eight minutes. Learn more about naloxone and how to obtain it.
